The basketball, handball, roller hockey, futsal and women's football sections will now have their own profiles, where fans see these teams from another vantage point
FC Barcelona, the digital leader in the sporting world, is expanding its presence on Instagram with the launch of official accounts for the Club's other professional sports teams: @FCBbasket, @FCBhandbol, @FCBhoquei, @FCBfutsal and the women's soccer team @FCBfemeni.
Barça fans everywhere can follow the day-to-day activities of these teams from another point of view. Images and videos will take centre stage in the new Instagram profiles, especially on match days, when rare, behind-the-scenes looks at each team will be able to be seen.
The move further strengthens FC Barcelona's presence on Instagram. The Club opened the first official @FCBarcelona account on 15 January 2013. Now, during the first week of March the account reached 30 million followers — 20 million of which came in the past year alone — making it the most followed Instagram account among sports clubs.
