In the second part of his interview on #CampNouLive, the Argentinian speaks about his four favourite managers, his childhood hero and what other teams he likes to watch
In the second and final part of the conversation between Javier Mascherano and web users on #CampNouLive, the player reveals who he most admired when he was starting out in the game: Claude Makelele. “When I was young I always tried to copy him because I thought he was one of the best defensive midfielders around. I always watched him and tried to learn from him, and then I got the chance to play against him when he was at Chelsea and I was at Liverpool”.
Mascherano also names the four managers that have had the greatest influence on his career (Bielsa, Benítez, Guardiola and Vilanova) and says that other than Barça, the team he most enjoys watching is the Spanish national team, whose football has so much in keeping with the style employed at the Camp Nou.
On a more personal note, he tells us that his favourite movie is ‘Life is Beautiful’ and his favourite musician is Joaquín Sabina. Mascherano also says that he dedicates most of his free time to his children.
