Pep Guardiola's team made history by winning the Club World Cup for their unprecedented sixth title

FC Barcelona, led by Pep Guardiola, entered the Guinness Book of World Records by winning their unprecedented sixth title in 2009. After winning the Spanish Cup, La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, all corresponding to the 2008/2009 season, followed by the Spanish Super Cup, The European Super Cup and the Club World Cup, corresponding to the 2009/2010 season, Barça went into the record books as the only team to have ever won everything in a single year. The last jewel in the crown was the Club's first ever Club World Cup title, after having come up just short against Sao Paulo in 1992 and against Porto Alegre in 2006. It was a dramatic win that day, as Barça were down 1-0 to Estudiantes de la Plata with two minutes remaining in regulation.

But a goal by Pedro in minute 88 sent the match to extra time, when Leo Messi chested in to deliver the victory, the title, and the record for perhaps the greatest team in the history of the sport. The emotions were flowing, especially after the final whistle as Pep Guardiola broke down in tears on the turf, all too aware that his record-breaking 2009 team had literally won it all, going six for six, and would forever go down in history.

This singular moment, likely to stand forever, took place in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. Barça reached the final after defeating Mexico's Atlante FC 3-1 in the semifinals.
